About Me

This is the first picture I ever took. It is a picture of my little sister in our backyard on the Fourth of July, 1983.  My mom would tell you she loves the composition of the image – the way I instinctively positioned the flag in front of the swing set to repeat the triangle pattern and create balance.

I myself love all of the easily forgotten details of my childhood that are brought to life when I look at this picture – the hot Indiana summers spent roaming our neighborhood, the way our backyard looked naked and bare before we planted the trees that now tower 40 feet above head, how that rickety old metal swing set would shimmy and creak whenever we would swing too high.

This is exactly what I love most about photography – the fact that I get to shape the way you will remember your life and the special events that define it.  I get to keep your fondest memories alive when the years have passed, the trees have grown and the swing sets are long gone. I look forward to telling your story.

My Process

As my photography has evolved over the past 10 years, so has my desire to take images beyond their basic digital form. In a day and age when anyone with cell phone can take a “good picture”, I strive to distinguish myself as an artist that displays your most beloved images in exceptional ways.

The process starts with a conversation and a general vision of desired deliverables. These tangible products are the result of close collaboration between myself as a photographer/artist and you as the designer/client. To me this ensures that we are able to create something that won’t be lost on a hard drive, forgotten in pixelated form as time and technology evolve.

Once we have a clear goal in mind, we can use archival imagery or conduct a session to create new digital content. Quite honestly, we are only limited by our collective imaginations!
